Water Pollution (Causes and Treatment)
Water pollution has become the main new threat to the rivers network and causes loses of huge amount of water with
subsequent sever damages to the marine life stocks.
Therefore
understanding the pollutants and their amounts and proportions, will help to
know the scientific measures and the effective methods of treatment, and how to
tackle the problems to get rid of their damaging results.
The
purification of water depends on the required purification degree of the International
health and environmental standards of each state.
The study
consists of three chapters and several supplements, dealing with different
causes of water pollution and the ways of its treatment and purification.
Chapter
1:
Consists of three sections, first section sheds light on natural characters and
properties of water (physical, chemical and natural resources and its variety).
The second section deals with the main pollutants (the positive and negative
substances, the poisonous and the radio-active elements) and how to get rid of
them. The third section is about pollution of the water resources (water coming
from agricultural areas and acid rains) and their causes, preventive measures
against their damaging effects, and how to find the causes of pollution
(rivers, seas, underground water and the radiological contaminations).
Chapter
2:
consists of two sections, first section deals with designing the water network for domestic, industrial,
hospitals, sewage system and rain falls
drains. The second section deals with the ways and technical methods to control
the domestic and industrial supply in addition to measures of controlling water
uses for different purposes.
Chapter
3:
consists of two sections, first section deals with practical measures in
purification stations (the main different steps of treatment, the chemical
factors help in treating and purifying water). The second section deals with
treating and purifying water as well (the general network, industrial,
underground, and the water for domestic uses).
And finally,
a summary which consists of the conclusion of the research work, the main
cores, and the supplements which includes the bibliography and references,
Arabic and the none Arabic that have been used for this research work.
